The resorts of Kazakhstan welcomed 4.9 million people in 2025, which is 11.6% more than a year earlier, Orda.kz reports, citing Energyprom.
In five years, the tourist flow has nearly tripled. The absolute leader is the Almaty mountain cluster. Almost 3 million people visited it, which is more than 60% of all visitors to the country’s resort areas. Growth over the year was 10%. The main points of attraction are Shymbulak, Ak-Bulak, Pioneer and the all-season Oi-Qaragai resort.
In the winter season of 2025/2026 alone, Oi-Qaragai was visited by more than 365,000 people, 28% more than a year earlier. Second place went to Borovoye with 463,000 visitors, an increase of 33.6%.
