Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Warns Samruk-Energo Chief Over Delays at Almaty CHPP-3

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov demanded faster progress on Almaty’s CHPP-3 and warned Samruk-Energy Chairman Kairat Maksutov that he could be held personally accountable if the deadlines are missed, Orda.kz reports.
According to the prime minister, Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov inspected work at CHPP-2 and CHPP-3 last week and found that construction was progressing slowly.
Maksutov, the energy minister inspected CHPP-2 and CHPP-3 last week. Work at CHPP-3 is moving too slowly. If you fail to take action by the end of the year, we will consider holding you personally accountable. Keep this matter under strict control,Bektenov said.
Work at CHPP-3 is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026.
