Kazakhstan To Assess Airlines’ Costs for Evacuating Citizens From the Middle East
Kazakhstan’s airlines have not yet announced how much they spent on the free evacuation of citizens from the conflict zone in the Middle East. But those calculations are already underway, Orda.kz reports.
This was announced by Deputy Transport Minister Talgat Lastaev. According to him, during the evacuation the priority was speed and safety, not financial calculations. Both Kazakh and foreign airlines, as well as airport staff, took part in the operation.
First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to our airlines — Kazakh and foreign — airport employees, and all those who took part in evacuating our citizens and passengers. Everything worked quickly, and a fairly large number of people were evacuated. At that time, no one was thinking about cost or expenses — the airlines acted as quickly as possible.he said on the sidelines of the Senate.
The calculation of expenses is now underway. The final figures are expected to be submitted after all calculations are completed together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
