Kazakhstan Sets Campaign Dates For Kurultai Election

Kazakhstan’s Central Election Commission approved the calendar plan for preparing and holding elections to the Kurultai, the country’s new unicameral parliament. The vote is scheduled for August 23, 2026, Orda.kz reports.

The plan was presented by CEC Deputy Chairman Mukhtar Yerman. According to the approved schedule, the nomination of party lists will begin on July 2 and end at 18:00 on July 13.

• Party lists will be nominated from July 2 to 13.
• They will be registered by July 23.
• Election campaigning will run from July 23 to August 21.
• August 22 will be elections silence.
• Voting will take place on August 23.
• Polling stations will be open from 07:00 to 20:00.

The following political parties will be able to take part in the elections to the new unicameral parliament:

• Ak Zhol.
• Auyl.
• Adilet.
• NSDP.
• Baytaq.
• People’s Party of Kazakhstan.
• Respublica.
