Kazakhstan Ready to Help the UAE Amid Escalation in the Region

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke by phone with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, amid the escalation of the conflict in the region, Orda.kz reports.
The head of Kazakhstan expressed support for the leadership and people of the Emirates. He noted that civilian infrastructure was damaged during the attack and stressed that strikes on peaceful facilities in the Gulf countries «deserve sharp condemnation».
Kazakhstan considers the UAE a friendly and brotherly country and is ready to provide all possible assistance if necessary, Tokayev said.
Sheikh Mohammed thanked him for the support and noted his readiness to continue cooperation.
Earlier, Tokayev discussed the situation in the Middle East with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
