Kazakhstan’s Interior Ministry has held more than 20 streamers accountable across the country. They chased views, likes and donations but ended up receiving fines or administrative detention, Orda.kz reports.
Police described several cases. In Shymkent, 48-year-old Yerbol Duisenbayev used profanity during a TikTok livestream. A court sentenced him to 10 days of administrative detention. In Pavlodar, 26-year-old Aslan Amantayev livestreamed while driving, used obscene language and was not wearing a seat belt. He received 20 days of administrative detention.
In Taldykorgan, 44-year-old Gulmira Kasenova used profanity during a TikTok livestream. She had previously been penalized for the same offense, and the court fined her. In Turkestan, blogger Bayan Shankeyeva, known online as bayan_kyz and fatima.sh0000, was also fined for using profanity and behaving aggressively during livestreams.
The Interior Ministry emphasized that thousands of people, including children, watch such content every day. Police said they would continue identifying those behind illegal livestreams and publicly naming them.
Earlier, Orda.kz reported that nine streamers had been punished for profanity, pranks and staged fights for donations. The harshest penalty went to a 20-year-old Shymkent resident who staged a kidnapping using a stun gun. A court sentenced him to eight days of administrative detention.
