Kazakhstan has changed the payment deadlines for toll road use, giving drivers more time to pay before facing penalties. The Ministry of Transport signed the relevant order, Orda.kz reports.
Under the previous rules, if payment was not made within seven days, the case materials were forwarded to the transport control authorities on the eighth day.
The new rules extend that deadline significantly.
If an individual does not make payment within 30 calendar days from the date of travel, the materials will be sent to the transport control authorities on the 31st day in the manner prescribed by law.the ministry said.
The updated rules also introduce, for the first time, separate payment procedures for individuals and legal entities. Legal entities must pay for toll road use by the 20th day of the month following the reporting month. If payment is not received, the materials will be sent to the transport control authorities the next day.
The document will enter into force 10 days after its official publication.
