The Ministry of Transport has addressed Kazakhstan's road carriers to clarify rumors circulating on social media about alleged entry fees into Uzbekistan.
Currently, information is being spread on social networks about the presence of a fee for Kazakhstani carriers when entering Uzbekistan. Fees will not be collected on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry emphasized.
The Ministry pointed to the 2007 international automobile agreement between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, which exempts carriers from both countries from fees and charges, except for toll roads.
