Hacker Attack? Ukrainian Flag on LED Screen in Astana
Screen shot: Video Astana brothers
On Wednesday evening, a video surfaced online showing what seems to be the Ukrainian flag with its yellow and blue colors near the capital's Astana Opera Theater, Orda reports, citing KazTAG.
Hackers have got into the screen of Astana Opera. The Akimat is turning it off, the post reads.
After the video emerged on KazTAG, Keruen Media contacted the editor-in-chief.
They explained that there was a “short-circuit of a cable.”
At 16:30 on the Keruen Media LED screen, the cable shorted out on the image of the Russian Federation flag on the upper segment and the white color turned off, due to which the color tone changed under the load of electricity, it became brighter. Thus, when producing video on a cell phone, the red color appears yellow when playing video for visual contact, said Mukhtar Bekbosynov, Deputy Director for Technical Affairs at Keruen Media.
Orda has contacted the capital's Akimat and the Ministry of Culture and Information for comments, but they have not responded yet.
