Euronews to Launch Broadcasting in Kazakh
Euronews will launch broadcasting in Kazakh. It will become the first Central Asian language in the channel’s lineup, Euronews Board Chairman Pedro Vargas David said at a meeting with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Orda.kz reports, citing Akorda.
According to Tokayev, after Euronews opened its regional office in Astana in 2024, the channel began covering Kazakhstan and Central Asia more actively. The president called the launch of the Kazakh-language version “a clear sign of mutually beneficial cooperation”.
The meeting also covered Tokayev’s recent visit to Brussels and his article on Kazakhstan’s partnership with the European Union, published on the Euronews website before the trip. You can read what the president wrote about in the article at the link.
The sides also discussed joint projects with the channel. Akorda says they will help present Kazakhstan and Central Asia to a wider global audience.
