Domestic Violence Center Lawyer Convicted of Assaulting His Wife

A lawyer at a family support center in the Zhetysu region has been convicted of domestic violence against his wife. At work, he provided assistance to victims of similar offenses, Orda.kz reports, citing the Prosecutor General’s Office.

At the time of the assault, the man worked as a lawyer at the Zhanuya Family Support Center.

The center assists victims of domestic violence. Despite this, the employee committed unlawful acts against his wife. The Karatal district prosecutor presented the court with evidence proving his guilt,the Prosecutor General’s Office said.

The Karatal District Court sentenced the man to 200 hours of community service. The ruling has entered into force.
