A direct air route between the capitals of Kazakhstan and Serbia is set to launch by the end of 2025, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Civil Aviation Committee, representatives from SCAT Airlines and tourism organizations are involved in the negotiations to establish the new route.
The planned flights between Astana and Belgrade will operate under the fifth freedom of the air—an agreement allowing an airline from one country to carry passengers between two other countries during flights originating or ending in its home country.
It was also recently announced that Kazakhstan plans to launch a direct flight to Jordan next year.
