Armenia’s Defense Ministry has rejected Azerbaijan’s claims of ceasefire violations along the border, stating that inspections found no evidence of such incidents, Orda reports.
Between March 16 and 18, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry reported six alleged ceasefire breaches by Armenian forces. However, Armenian officials insist that no violations occurred and reiterated their June 22, 2024, proposal to establish a joint investigation mechanism, which Azerbaijan has yet to accept.
On March 17, Armenia again expressed readiness to review any evidence of violations if provided, but as of now, Azerbaijan has not submitted any proof.
The Armenian government emphasized its commitment to a peace agreement with Azerbaijan and urged Baku to finalize the signing process. Officials also highlighted a January 2025 proposal for a bilateral arms control mechanism and a railway transit deal, awaiting Azerbaijan’s response.
Armenia also reaffirmed its willingness to continue border delimitation talks per the agreed framework.
