A new emergency and urgent care station planned for Aqtau will feature a training simulation center and maintenance facilities for ambulances capable of handling 100,000 emergency calls annually, Orda.kz reports.
The three-story facility comes with a 4.8 billion tenge price tag, with 4.6 billion tenge provided by the government's special state fund of recovered assets and 100 million tenge from the local budget.
Construction is underway on a 2.6-hectare site in Aqtau's district 34A, with 10% of work completed, including earthworks and internal engineering networks.
This station will address three critical issues. We'll significantly reduce emergency response times, establish a training simulation center, and update our equipment, 35% of which is currently outdated. said Bibizada Duisenbayeva deputy head of Mangystau region's healthcare department.
The project is part of a broader government initiative funding socially significant projects through the special state fund.
It has allocated over 55.2 billion tenge for various projects, including four schools (one music school), two sports complexes, a multi-functional hospital, a dormitory, and two nurseries.
