33 Years of Partnership: Toqayev Holds Discussions with Slovenia’s President

Kazakhstan President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar in Astana on April 1, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
Following a ceremonial welcome at the presidential residence, the two leaders proceeded to formal talks.
President Pirc Musar noted that direct investment from Slovenia into Kazakhstan's economy has reached nearly $200 million. Currently, 19 Slovenian-capital companies operate in Kazakhstan, with a presence in pharmaceuticals, engineering, telecommunications, and renewable energy.
Over the 33 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, there hasn’t been a single unresolved issue,
she emphasized.
Toqayev highlighted the potential for expanding cooperation in several key areas: transport and logistics, digitalization and innovation, healthcare, and tourism.
Representatives of 25 leading companies of the country arrived with the Slovenian President. They will take part in the Kazakh-Slovenian business forum.
A large business delegation came with me. They have already begun discussing promising areas of partnership with their Kazakh colleagues. Economic exchange is growing, but I still think we can achieve more,"she said during closed-door talks.the Slovenian President said.
Following the talks, the Presidents adopted a joint statement, and the parties exchanged memoranda of understanding in education, science, tourism, and trade.
