The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has approved new rules governing visitor centers and the services they provide, Orda.kz reports.
Located near tourist attractions and routes, the centers will provide information about destinations, advise visitors and issue safety guidance.
Information must be accurate and accessible, while warnings about new safety threats must be published within one hour. Opening hours and emergency phone numbers must also be displayed.
Services must be available in Kazakh and Russian, with foreign languages planned for international routes. Centers must also be accessible to people with disabilities.
Visitor centers may operate year-round or seasonally. Hotels, cafes and shops may share the same building, but their service areas must remain separate.
