Uzbekistan, Russia to Streamline Labor Migration Process

Uzbekistan and Russia will create a new labor migration regulation mechanism, Orda reports, citing Gazeta.uz.
The agreement came during Moscow meetings between Uzbek Migration Agency Director Behzod Musaev and Russian Labor Service Head Mikhail Ivankov.

- Pre-departure work permits for Uzbek citizens

- Joint training centers to be established in Uzbekistan
- Enhanced employer verification process
The delegation also secured employment agreements for 7,000 Uzbek workers with major Russian companies, including Ant Yapi, Ozon Community, PEK, and SPAR Middle Volga.
Russian authorities pledged to prevent the spread of misleading information about labor migrants and promised preferential conditions for Uzbek workers through an organized recruitment system.
