Montenegro President Makes First Official Visit To Kazakhstan

Montenegro’s President Jakov Milatović arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit and held talks with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Orda.kz reports.
The visit is the first official trip by a Montenegrin president to Kazakhstan.
Tokayev called the visit important for relations between the two countries. He noted that Montenegro is already well known to Kazakhstanis as a tourist destination, as many citizens visit the country every year.
Tokayev also congratulated Montenegro on the 20th anniversary of its independence and said Kazakhstan is interested in giving bilateral cooperation new substance.
Milatović arrived with a business delegation. According to the Montenegrin president, the two countries plan to expand political and economic cooperation, while their chambers of commerce are expected to hold a business forum and sign several memorandums.
Tourism was also discussed during the talks. Milatović said Montenegro wants to further strengthen ties with Kazakhstan in this area.
