A bus priority lane will be launched on Sain Street in Almaty on June 20, Orda.kz reports.
Road services are already applying yellow markings and installing signs. All work is expected to be completed by June 19.
City officials say the measure will improve public transport priority on one of Almaty’s busiest corridors. The lane is expected to make bus schedules more reliable and reduce delays caused by congestion.
For now, the project is being launched in pilot mode. The transport department will assess its effectiveness and make changes if needed.
