Uzbek Prosecutor General Receives Russia’s Order of Friendship

Russian President Vladimir Putin has presented Uzbekistan’s Prosecutor General, Nigmatilla Yuldashev, with the Order of Friendship, Orda.kz reports, citing Gazeta.uz.

The decree was signed on October 15.

Yuldashev was honored for his role in upholding law and order, protecting citizens’ rights across the CIS, and promoting inter-prosecutorial cooperation and strategic partnership with Russia.

Yuldashev has served as Uzbekistan’s top prosecutor since 2019, following his tenure as Chair of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. He was reappointed in June 2024.

Another recipient of the Russian Order of Friendship this year was Yusuf Rahmon, Secretary of Tajikistan’s Security Council.

First established in 1994, the Order of Friendship recognizes both Russian and foreign citizens who contribute to strengthening ties and cooperation between nations. Among its previous recipients are musicians Farrukh Zokirov and Sevara Nazarkhan.
