Kazakhstan Plans to Rent 11 Helicopters for 22 Billion Tenge Ahead of the Fire Season

The leased aircraft must be equipped with a water discharge device with a capacity of at least 600 liters. They are intended for extinguishing forest and steppe fires using an external suspension system. All relevant permits and technical documents are also required, including a product passport, certificate of conformity, and documents confirming operational clearance.
The potential supplier must also provide a crew for each aircraft, including at least three firefighter-paratroopers with firefighting and camping equipment.
The Most Expensive Destinations
The highest expenses are provided for several units:
- Bukebay — 903.6 million tenge per year;
- Borodulikha — 903.6 million tenge per year;
- Pavlodar — 903.6 million tenge per year.
Several other regions require annual funding ranging from 660 million to 720 million tenge. The smallest contract is for the Zhasyl Aymak division, where helicopter rental is estimated at about 294.6 million tenge per year.
According to the documents, the difference in cost depends on the planned number of flight hours. In total, each aircraft is expected to operate between 150 and 550 hours.
Under the tender documentation, helicopter rental services are to be procured from the date the contract is signed until December 31, 2028. Applications for the lots will be accepted until March 17.
