Ulytau Akim Reports to President on Industrial Safety

Akim of Ulytau region Dastan Ryspekov reported to the President on how the region is improving industrial safety and providing support to the families of miners who lost their lives at a mine of the Kazakhmys corporation, Orda.kz reports.
According to Aqorda, Dastan Ryspekov reported on joint work with the government to ensure safety at high-risk enterprises. The President emphasized that large subsoil users must know their social responsibility.
The Akim also spoke about the support provided to the families of miners who lost their lives at a mine of the Kazakhmys corporation.
Dastan Ryspekov also reported on the progress of the heating season, the "Clean Kazakhstan" environmental campaign, and construction work in the region.
Some important figures from the Akim's report (2024 results):
- Industrial production increased by 8%
- The volume of construction work increased by 28%
- 30% more new housing was built
- The region attracted more than 226 billion tenge of investments, 89% were private
- An investment pool of 940 billion tenge was formed
In 2025, the region plans to implement 17 projects worth 138 billion tenge.
Toqayev instructed the Akim to develop logistics, update infrastructure, improve the quality of medical services, provide the population with drinking water, and resolve environmental issues.
On March 5, preliminary investigation results into the accident at the Kazakhmys mine in the Ulytau region became known.
