The Donald Trump administration will present a plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine at the Munich Security Conference in Germany next week, Bloomberg sources say, Orda.kz reports.
The conference will be held from February 14 to 16 in Munich.
Reportedly, the plan will be presented by Donald Trump's Ukraine envoy, Keith Kellogg.
However, it is unknown how detailed the discussion of Trump's proposals will be and in what format it will take place.
Comments Kellogg has made in the past suggest this is a plan to achieve what Trump's allies call "peace through strength," Bloomberg reports.
Bloomberg suggests that this is about freezing the conflict. In this scenario, Ukraine will be given security guarantees that Russia will not be able to attack again.
Kellogg has hinted that the US wants to see presidential elections in Ukraine, while Trump said he wants to receive rare earth metals in exchange for military aid to Kyiv.
Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko claims Kellogg will visit Ukraine after the Munich Conference.
He is expected to appear immediately after the Munich Security Conference, where he is to present Trump's plan, he clarified.
