Tokayev and Erdogan Exchange Congratulations and Discuss Upcoming Meetings

In the telephone conversation, the parties outlined their priority – strengthening the partnership through upcoming visits and summits, Orda.kz reports.
They began on a warm note – congratulating each other on Oraz Ait and Nauryz.
Then they moved on to politics. Erdogan noted the referendum held in Kazakhstan and the new Constitution. According to him, this is the result of a confident policy and a step towards strengthening the country.
In response, Tokayev thanked Turkish observers for their participation – he stressed that this is another confirmation of the close relations between the states.
Upcoming meetings were discussed separately. Erdogan reminded about his visit to Kazakhstan on May 14 and the upcoming meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council. An informal summit of the Turkic states is also on the horizon.
Tokayev made it clear: a serious emphasis is being placed on these negotiations in Astana. According to him, they could give new impetus to the partnership. He added that the Turkish leader is expected in Kazakhstan.
At the end of the conversation, Erdogan invited Tokayev to Antalya for a diplomatic forum. The President of Kazakhstan agreed.
The other day, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin. The President of Russia congratulated the head of the republic on the new Constitution and confirmed the importance of his state visit to Kazakhstan in May.
