Putin Congratulates Tokayev on New Constitution, Confirms Importance of State Visit in May

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Orda.kz reports.
During the conversation, the head of the neighboring country congratulated him on the successful holding of a national referendum and the adoption of a new Constitution in Kazakhstan.
The presidents discussed the agenda of bilateral relations. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed the importance of the state visit of the President of Russia to Kazakhstan planned for the end of May to strengthen strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries. according to Akorda's message.
Vladimir Putin agreed with this assessment of the upcoming negotiations in Astana and noted the progressive nature of bilateral cooperation in all strategically important sectors.
Earlier, the President of the Russian Federation banned the extradition of foreign criminals serving in the Russian army to other states.
