System Outage Leaves Foreigners Without IIN and Residence Permit Services in Kazakhstan

A technical failure on April 9 forced public service centers and Migration Service Centers across Kazakhstan to suspend services for issuing IINs and temporary residence permits to foreigners, Orda.kz reports.
The disruption was reported by the press service of the state corporation Government for Citizens.
In addition, the service for issuing temporary residence permits to foreigners and stateless persons in Kazakhstan will be temporarily unavailable from 9 a.m. on April 10 until 9 a.m. on April 13 due to technical work.
After all restoration work on the state body’s side is completed, the resumption of services will be announced separately. the official statement said.
Earlier, Orda.kz reported that suspects in a scheme involving the processing of documents for foreigners were detained inside a public service center in Aktobe.
