Suspected Human Trafficking Rings Busted in Kazakhstan

Two organized groups allegedly involved in pandering and human trafficking have been dismantled in Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports, citing the Interior Ministry.
According to the Ministry, the suspects were advertising illegal sex services online.
Preliminary data shows the groups earned up to 1.5 million tenge per day, with total cash flow exceeding 1.7 billion tenge since the beginning of 2024,
the ministry reported.
During searches, authorities seized cash, bank cards, vehicles, computers, and other evidence. The main suspects have been taken into custody.
Pre-trial investigations are underway under criminal articles related to human trafficking and participation in an organized crime group. If found guilty, the defendants face up to 12 years in prison and confiscation of property.
