In April, Kazakhstanis began looking for work noticeably more actively through the state employment platform, the Ministry of Labor reported. The number of published resumes jumped 15.1% to 123,300, while the number of vacancies grew by only 2%. Pilots had the highest salary expectations — nearly 3.9 million tenge, Orda.kz reports.
According to the data, education remains the most in-demand sector with 20,200 vacancies, followed by the service sector with 15,500 openings. Employers were also actively hiring in agriculture, industry and healthcare.
The gap between what employers offer and what pilots expect was the starkest of any profession:
Employers offered salaries of around 1.9 million tenge, while applicants themselves expected 3.9 million tenge. Other highly paid vacancies include software architect (approx. 1.7 million) and equipment testing manager (approx. 1.6 million). Among job seekers with high expectations are flight attendants and maxillofacial surgeons, at around two million, the Ministry of Labor noted.
Since the start of the year, 409,000 vacancies and more than 517,000 resumes have been posted on the platform. Most job postings came from Astana — 8,500 — followed by Pavlodar region, Almaty, Akmola and Karaganda regions.
