Special stickers will be placed on cars used by state bodies, Orda.kz reports, citing My City.
The new design has already been approved. The entire state vehicle fleet is expected to receive special markings.
According to Murat Baisalov, head of the regional department of Kazakhstan’s Agency for Civil Service Affairs in the West Kazakhstan region, the stickers will make it easier for ordinary citizens to recognize government cars on the road.
Authorities expect the measure to strengthen control over the use of official transport. Personal trips and traffic violations involving state vehicles will be more visible.
Civil servants can be held accountable for violating the rules.
