Akimat representative Sarsen Kuranbek stated that Ruslan Berdenov still holds his post and is currently on sick leave, Orda.kz reports.
Kuranbek emphasized that Berdenov remains Deputy Akim and that no order for his dismissal has been issued.
He has filed for sick leave and is undergoing treatment. If Berdenov wishes to continue working in the Akimat, he will be able to do so. Otherwise, he will submit a resignation letter, the representative said at a briefing.
Rumors about the deputy akim’s departure have been actively circulating online, though Berdenov himself has not commented.
Meanwhile, personnel changes are taking place in the Akimat. First Deputy Akim Kuanysh Asylov has been dismissed due to a transfer to another position. Two new Deputy Akims have been appointed — Aidyn Karimov and Arman Sabitov.
Alongside the appointments, the Akimat has also faced scandals. Recently, Antikor detained the head of the Architecture Department, Arman Abdeshev, as well as the head of the Land Relations Department, Nurbol Zhunisbekov.
Ruslan Berdenov has served as Deputy Akim since February 2025. In the spring, his subordinate Yernar Zhiembay carried out an armed attack on him.
On August 20, the court found Zhiembay guilty and sentenced him to nine years in prison.
