Armed Attack: Shymkent Official’s Attacker Sentenced
In Shymkent, a sentence was passed on Yernar Zhiembay in the case concerning the armed attack on Shymkent Deputy Akim Ruslan Berdenov, Orda.kz reports.
The state prosecutor asked for 11 years and three months of imprisonment for the defendant. The judge sentenced Zhiembai to 9 years in prison.
Yesterday, Yernar Zhiembay made his final statement in court. He asked for forgiveness from Ruslan Berdenov but also claimed Berdenov was politicizing the case.
