The leaders received the prize “for their significant personal contribution to strengthening peace and security in Central Asia.”
On March 31, 2025, the three presidents signed the Treaty on the Junction Point of Borders and the Declaration of Eternal Friendship in Tajikistan.
The Tolstoy Peace Prize was established in 2022 by the Russian Historical Society, the Russian Military-Historical Society, and the Peace Foundation.
