Tokayev Meets Cuban Vice President To Discuss AI And Medicine

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa, Orda.kz reports.
Tokayev noted the relevance of the agenda of the recent Eurasian Economic Forum, which focused on the development of artificial intelligence, and pointed to prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries in this area.
The president spoke about Kazakhstan’s work to introduce artificial intelligence technologies and digitalize key sectors of the economy. In this context, he said Kazakhstan was ready to share its experience with Cuba, including in e-government and Kazakhstani digital solutions.
Salvador Valdés Mesa, in turn, conveyed greetings to Tokayev from Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and confirmed Havana’s interest in strengthening trade and economic ties with Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in medicine and pharmaceuticals, as well as prospects for further developing business, cultural, and humanitarian ties.
