Cyprus President To Make First Official Visit To Kazakhstan

Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides will arrive in Astana on June 2 by direct flight. This will be his first official visit to Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports, citing the government of Cyprus.
Christodoulides is scheduled to meet with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on June 3. Extended talks between the two countries’ delegations are also planned. The president of Kazakhstan is expected to present Christodoulides with a state award — the Order of Dostyk.
The parties are expected to sign several memoranda on higher education and scientific research, culture, sports, information and communication technologies, cybersecurity, and e-government.
Christodoulides will also speak at the Cyprus-Kazakhstan Business Forum, visit the Alem.AI International Artificial Intelligence Center, and open the Embassy of Cyprus in Astana.
The two presidents are also expected to make statements to the media. Christodoulides is scheduled to return to Cyprus on June 4.
