Kazakhstan Plans To Build Three Schools In Russia

Kazakhstan has proposed building three schools in Russia — in the Orenburg region, Omsk, and Astrakhan, Orda.kz reports.

Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin announced the initiative on the sidelines of the EAEU forum in Astana.

According to him, this is a response to Russia’s proposal to build three schools in Kazakhstan — in the Turkestan, Kyzylorda, and Zhambyl regions.

Russia proposed building three schools in the Turkestan region, Kyzylorda region, and Zhambyl region. Accordingly, we took the initiative to build schools in the Orenburg region, Omsk, and Astrakhan,he said.

According to the deputy prime minister, a land plot has already been agreed upon for the school in the Orenburg region. Approvals for Astrakhan and Omsk are still ongoing.

Zhumangarin said the documents for all schools are expected to be signed at the same time once both sides complete the approvals.

There will be Russian-Kazakh instruction there, and here, accordingly, it will be the same. Both Russian and Kazakh will be studied,Zhumangarin said.

Asked about the timeline, he said the project will begin after the approval of programs and methods, as well as the signing of the agreement.
