Qyzylqairat Tragedy: Talgar District Resident Faces 12 Charges Including Homicide

A resident of the Talgar district has been charged with 12 criminal offenses, including homicide, sexual assault, and involving minors in a crime. The case has now been sent to court, Orda.kz reports.
According to the victims’ family lawyers, Asylbek Abdraimov and Zhandos Palmanov, investigators have completed the pre-trial investigation into the high-profile case involving the abduction of a child in the village of Qyzylkairat, Talgar District.
All examinations and investigative actions have been completed, and the materials have been submitted to the parties for review. The prime suspect, citizen Y., is charged under 12 articles of the Criminal Code, including homicide, kidnapping, sexual assault, unlawful deprivation of liberty, fraud, home invasion, threats to kill, manufacture and possession of weapons, and involving a minor in a crime,
the lawyers said.
Two other teenagers are also implicated in the case. They are accused of involvement in the homicide and kidnapping.
The tragedy occurred on September 6 in the Qyzylkairat village. According to the investigation, a local service station employee sexually assaulted a resident of the village and blackmailed her for a month. Later, he killed the woman’s brother, who had tried to defend the family, and kidnapped her two-year-old daughter.
During his escape attempt, the suspect’s car plunged into a river, but the child was rescued.
It was later revealed that the accused had previously been released from custody. Following the incident, the prosecutor’s office opened a separate case against Talgar police officers under the article “Inaction by Officials.”
