Prosecutors Find Serious Violations in Hospital Construction in Akmola Region

Cost-cutting violations were uncovered during the construction of an operating unit at a hospital in Stepnogorsk, Orda.kz reports, citing the Prosecutor General’s Office.

During the inspection, violations of construction standards by the contractor were revealed, which led to poor-quality work and unjustified payments of budget funds. The customer has filed a lawsuit seeking the return of 80 million tenge in budget funds. Two officials from the Health Department were held disciplinarily liable.
The authorities are now looking for a new contractor who can complete the work as quickly as possible.
