Video Shows Construction Waste Dumped Near Reservoir in Kazakhstan

In the Almaty region, a local resident filmed a truck dumping construction debris near a reservoir in the village of Otegen Batyr, Orda.kz reports.
The author of the video posted the footage on Threads. It shows machinery covering the waste with earth.
It is covering up the traces of its crime with earth, so to speak. This is the destruction of natural water bodies. At the same time, they keep saying that we have an acute shortage of drinking water.he wrote.
According to the author, this is happening because of inaction by the local authorities. He said natural water bodies in the village are being systematically destroyed and that the consequences could affect the ecology of the entire Almaty region.
The Orda.kz editorial team has sent a request to the local akimat asking for comment on the situation.
