A Kazakh citizen is expected to face a dangerous driving charge after a road accident on Thailand’s Phuket island left two people injured, Orda.kz reports, citing The Phuket News.
The incident began on June 20 at a turn on Thepkrasattri Road in the Mai Khao area. According to police, the woman stopped her car in the middle of the road, turned on the hazard lights, and remained inside for more than 20 minutes, blocking traffic.
Police arrived after receiving reports of an obstruction and tried to speak to the driver. The woman left before officers could resolve the situation.

Police later monitored the car for several hours. Near the old Phuket Airport intersection, the vehicle was involved in a collision with a motorcycle and a minibus. Two people were injured, including the driver.
Police identified the woman as 30-year-old Kazakh citizen Zhanel Zhumagaliyeva. She was driving a silver sedan with Bangkok license plates.
Investigators inspected the scene, questioned those involved, and collected evidence. The injured were taken to hospital.
Chatchai police chief Khunji Na Nongkhai said the woman is expected to be initially charged with dangerous driving causing injury and property damage. The investigation is ongoing.
Police also said the woman had come to their attention two days earlier. On the morning of June 18, she allegedly left a Mazda with Phuket plates at the entrance to the international airport parking lot, blocking other vehicles.
According to police, the woman appeared to be in a severe emotional state because of personal problems. Officers persuaded her to move the car and escorted her to Sakhu police station. Relevant services were later involved to provide assistance.
