Oil Production at Kashagan Restored to 80%
Repairs at the Kashagan oil and gas field were completed on October 28. A new inlet gas separator has been connected and put into operation.
A gradual return to the pre-repair level is planned. As of November 1, production was restored by 80%,
the Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
Repairs at Kashagan began on October 7. Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev said this would affect oil production.
Satkaliyev said that, as a result, about 400 thousand barrels per day would not be delivered to the market from Kazakhstan.
At that time, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan emphasized that the repairs would last 30 days.
