5,000 Dombra Players Set National Record in Taldykorgan

In honor of National Dombra Day, 5,000 musicians simultaneously performed the traditional composition Baktybaydyn Äueni in Taldykorgan, Orda.kz reports, citing the Jetisu Regional Akimat.
The large-scale performance was part of the “Uly Dala Uni” (“Voice of the Great Steppe”) initiative. Thousands of dombra players gathered in the city’s central square to take part in the event.
According to officials, the record was officially registered by Kairat Tazabekov, editor-in-chief of the Kazakhstan Book of Records.
A certificate confirming the new national record was presented to the regional Akimat.
