Russia restarted oil exports through Novorossiysk following drone and missile strikes, according to two industry sources, Orda.kz reports, citing Reuters.
The Ukrainian drone strike occurred on Friday and is considered a significant one against Russia’s Black Sea oil export infrastructure. Reuters reported that two terminals were affected, and both Novorossiysk and the CPC terminal were temporarily disconnected from export operations.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy stated that transportation from Kazakhstan was not disrupted: oil continues to move normally through the Atyrau – Samara and Aqtau – Makhachkala routes.
The temporary outage affected an estimated 2.2 million barrels per day — around 2% of global oil supply.
Oil prices rose by more than 2% following the incident.
