Drones from the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Sheskharis terminal on the morning of November 14, Orda.kz reports.
The facility is used, among other purposes, for exporting Kazakhstan's oil via the Atyrau–Samara–Novorossiysk and Makhachkala–Novorossiysk routes.
Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry said the incident did not disrupt the transit of Kazakhstan's oil.
As of this hour, the reception and transportation of Kazakhstan's oil through the Atyrau–Samara and Aqtau–Makhachkala systems is proceeding normally, without restrictions. The agency is in contact with Transneft for up-to-date information. The situation is being constantly monitored,
the ministry stated.
