Novorossiysk Halts Oil Exports After Drone Strike

Following a Ukrainian drone attack, oil exports from the Russian port of Novorossiysk have been temporarily suspended. Kazakhstan also uses this route, but the country’s Ministry of Energy says the transportation of Kazakhstan's oil remains uninterrupted, Orda.kz reports.
According to Reuters, Transneft halted oil pumping to the port after the strikes. The drones hit the Sheskharis oil depot, a container terminal, and nearby coastal infrastructure.
A civilian vessel was also damaged, resulting in injuries to three crew members.
Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said that 66 drones were downed over the region overnight, and another 59 over the Black Sea.
Fragments of the drones hit the Sheskharis oil depot, a container terminal, coastal facilities, and one civilian vessel in the port, where three crew members were injured.

The Sheskharis terminal is also used for oil exports from Kazakhstan. As expert Nurlan Zhumagulov previously noted, more than six million tons of Kazakhstan's crude are shipped through Novorossiysk each year.
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy confirmed that the incident did not disrupt oil deliveries from the country.
Transportation through the Atyrau–Samara and Aktau–Makhachkala pipeline routes continues as usual.
