Kazakhstan Welcomes Completion of Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Talks

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has issued an official statement regarding the conclusion of negotiations on the draft peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Orda.kz reports.
The statement highlights the agreements' significance, which could serve as a pivotal step toward normalizing relations and enhancing stability in the South Caucasus region.
Kazakhstan expressed confidence that the signing of the agreement would contribute to security and prosperity in the region.
The Republic of Kazakhstan reaffirms its strong support for efforts aimed at continuing constructive dialogue between the two countries with the aim of establishing a strong and lasting peace.
In September 2024, during a telephone conversation with Ilham Aliyev, President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev proposed hosting peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Almaty.
