The U.S. Embassy in Astana will hold an auction of property on May 17, 2026. The registration fee for a bidder number ranges from 20,000 to 100,000 tenge, Orda.kz reports.

If a participant wins a lot and refuses to pay, the registration fee will not be refunded. If a participant wins a lot but refuses to pay for it, any other registered participant may purchase it at the winning bid if they wish. If a participant wins several lots and later decides not to pay for at least one of them, then all lots won by that participant will be automatically canceled and the registration fee will not be refunded.the notice says.
Embassy staff also warned that police may fine drivers for traffic violations near the auction site.
