U.S. Embassy in Astana to Auction Cars, Furniture and Medical Equipment

The U.S. Embassy in Astana will hold an auction of property on May 17, 2026. The registration fee for a bidder number ranges from 20,000 to 100,000 tenge, Orda.kz reports.
According to information published on the embassy’s website, participants must place bids in tenge. Payment will be accepted in cash only.
Items to be sold at the auction may include household and office furniture, carpets, mattresses, IT equipment such as monitors, computers, scanners, printers and copiers, as well as televisions, medical equipment, repair equipment, tools, consumables, forklifts and cars.
The registration fee for the main part of the auction is 20,000 tenge per bidder number. Forklifts and cars will be sold during a separate session after the main auction, where the registration fee is 100,000 tenge.
If a participant wins a lot and refuses to pay, the registration fee will not be refunded. If a participant wins a lot but refuses to pay for it, any other registered participant may purchase it at the winning bid if they wish. If a participant wins several lots and later decides not to pay for at least one of them, then all lots won by that participant will be automatically canceled and the registration fee will not be refunded.the notice says.
Embassy staff also warned that police may fine drivers for traffic violations near the auction site.
