Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports has prepared standard job requirements for casino and slot machine hall employees. The document covers dozens of positions, including managers, croupiers, pit bosses, cashiers and surveillance operators, Orda.kz reports.

The standards are intended to help gambling businesses hire and evaluate employees, prepare job descriptions and assign responsibilities.

Casino managers will be responsible for staff training, shift management, conflict resolution and compliance with laws against money laundering and terrorist financing.

Pit bosses must supervise dealers, bets and payouts, manage gaming tables and report suspicious activity. Croupiers must run games, accept bets, announce winnings and refer disputes to senior employees.

Surveillance operators will monitor gaming halls, record suspicious activity and report violations or emergencies. Casino cashiers must check banknotes, exchange money for gaming chips and report suspicious transactions.

Most positions will not require a university degree or previous experience. However, employees must understand gambling laws, game rules, workplace safety, cash procedures and internal regulations.
