Officials Fired For Gambling At Work In Turkestan Region

Four civil servants in Turkestan Region have been dismissed for gambling during working hours, Orda.kz reports.
The dismissals followed an inspection by the prosecutor’s office of Saryagash District.
Prosecutors checked how employees of local state bodies were complying with legal requirements, restrictions, and official discipline. They found that several officials had been betting and gambling during working hours.
The prosecutor’s office said such conduct grossly violates official ethics, contradicts the principles of public service, and undermines public trust in state bodies.
Following the inspection, the district prosecutor’s office submitted a supervisory act. Department heads reviewed it and dismissed four employees from their positions.
