Kazakhstan Reappoints Heads of National Bank, KNB and Key Legal Institutions

Kazakhstan has retained the heads of several key state institutions in its latest round of senior appointments, Orda.kz reports, citing the Presidential Administration.

Timur Suleimenov will continue as chair of the National Bank, while Yermek Sagimbayev will remain head of the National Security Committee, or KNB.

Dmitry Malakhov has retained his position as chair of the Supreme Judicial Council. The former head of the Financial Monitoring Agency has led the council since autumn 2024.

Artur Lastayev will also continue serving as Kazakhstan’s human rights commissioner.
