President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on Victory Day, noting that the occasion is marked with deep gratitude across the country, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
The bloody war against fascism left an indelible mark on our nation’s history. Our valiant soldiers demonstrated extraordinary courage and bravery in defending the ideals of freedom and justice. Hundreds of thousands perished in brutal battles. Through immense effort and hardship, Kazakhstanis brought Victory closer in the rear. Day and night, they worked in the fields, factories, and plants to support the frontlines.
Toqayev emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of those who fought and sacrificed, and noted that many commemorative events are planned across the country. Around 500 streets will be named in honor of wartime heroes, and a large-scale military parade has taken place.
Victory Day reminds us once again how vital it is to safeguard peace, friendship, and harmony in our land. I firmly believe these enduring values will continue to serve as a strong foundation for our nation’s prosperity and progress,Toqayev said.
He concluded by wishing all Kazakhstanis good health, happiness, and a peaceful sky.
